"Deadstock" Summer Drop

In the spirit of bricolage—cobbling together ideas from available materials—we present a new/old line of products.

First up is a multi-purpose ceramic plate with an open face. Designed for our original Coffeemaker Nº1, we are repurposing our deadstock as a spoon rest, a rolling tray or a valet for your keys—the choice is yours.

The utility plate comes in three colors—glossy black, glossy white and matte stoneware.

Next up is a treasure trove of deadstock bottle openers we recently rediscovered in the studio. Originally designed in 2016, but out of production since around 2019—this opener was inspired by the flat metal bottle openers found in the back pockets of bartenders all over the world.

Our take on the iconic bottle popper is 100% made in Chicago—including the genuine Horween leather. Available in black and brown.

The next in the lineup are a small batch of Burn Plate—ceramic plates designed for burning incense. This was designed in 2018, but out of production since 2022. A simple design for catching burning ash, it features a hole for stick incense, and is also suitable for palo santo, incense cones, incense bricks, tea candles and could even be an ashtray in a pinch. Hide a book of matches beneath the center area.

Finally, we have the second edition of the Straw Cup and Snack Cup, experimental designs transforming Manual glassware into smokeware. For the Straw Cup, this is the second limited edition of 40 units—it’s possible we make more in the future, but it won’t be likely any time soon.

Of course the alternative title for this collection could be “Grateful Deadstock” but the only Dead song I can name is Scarlet Begonias, so I won’t do that.

Keep on truckin’
