The Semi-Manual System
A complete system for upgrading a Moccamaster to eliminate brewing plastics and increase coffee control.
The Moccamaster coffeemaker has been hand made by the company Technivorm in the Netherlands since 1968. In a world of disposable plastic appliances designed to be replaced within a few years—the Moccamaster is designed to last.
It’s widely known for making great coffee—and because of the modular design, parts can be easily swapped, repaired…and modified.
The “Semi-Manual System” is an upgrade for the Moccamaster that allows you to eliminate the stock dripper and carafe and instead create a “semi-manual” coffee system: automatic when you want to be hands off, access to the process when you want to be hands on—with less plastic involved.
The Semi-Manual Bracket can hold many different pour-over drippers, but we are focused on the size 03 Hario v60—which allows you to brew a full 1.25 L pot. The Japanese company Hario has been a coffee industry standard for decades: the performance of the v60 will exceed that of the stock dripper—and without lingering coffee oils or microplastic concerns.
The Semi-Manual system gives you more control your brew to get better coffee bed saturation: you can rotate the dripper on the cork ring and the open top allows for stirring the coffee slurry. The stock Moccamaster lid will fit the v60 as well.
The corked carafe allows you to trap the coffee’s heat when you’re done brewing, and bring some beauty to the breakfast table.

The Dripper Stack - the bracket, a size 03 glass Hario v60, a custom cork adapter that allows you to brew up to a full 1.25 L of coffee. Package of 100 Hario filters included.
The Carafe - a custom borosilicate glass pitcher with a cork lid. This will only work with the Semi-Manual Dripper Stack, not with the stock Moccamaster dripper. The carafe also works with our accessories for the Slow System.

A powder-coated steel bracket to upgrade a Technivorm Moccamaster to hold a Hario v60 dripper.
The “Semi-Manual Bracket” is an upgrade for the Moccamaster that allows you to eliminate the stock plastic dripper and use a Hario v60 or other pour over cone. The brewing performance matches that of the stock dripper—it will make delicious coffee—but without lingering coffee oils or microplastics. The system gives you more control your brew to get better coffee bed saturation—by rotating the dripper and allowing access for stirring the slurry.
You can also take your dripper off and make a cup of pour over coffee—keeping your options open between semi-manual and full manual.

Designed for the KBGV Moccamaster model, but likely works for all of the K-range (pending customer feedback)
Designed for Hario drippers, but would likely fit others. We recommend the Hario v60 size 03 to brew the Moccamasters’ max capacity of 1.25 L, a cork adapter to get it to fit properly is available for pre-order here.
